Abstract

|
Pseudomyxoma peritonei is a rare clinical entity characterized by diffused peritoneal and omental implants of mucus-secreting epithelium and progressive accumulation of various amounts of gelatinous mucinous ascites. Though, as a rule, not
invasive
or
metastatic, death occures secondary to gastrointestinal dysfunction.
We have experienced a case of pseudomyxoma peritonei and it is presented with brief review.
